On April 14, 2008, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) published a landmark standard, SMPTE-2021 (BXF). This standard is the end product of a three-year effort on the part of over 150 people, representing users, vendors, and other interested parties from around the world.

  • Worldwide box office reached another all-time high in 2007 with .7 billion, a 4.9% increase.
