Capitol Motion Picture Supply was founded on December 19, 1919 by Isidor Perse at 146 Wests 46th Street. In 1926, the firm moved to spacious new headquarters at 727 7thAvenue. Today, after continuous operation out of New York City's famous Film District for nearly a century, Capitol Motion Picture Supply has moved to suburban Basking Ridge, NJ.

There are three reasons why Capitol Motion Picture Supply managed to survive for nealry a century while hundreds of companies have fallen by the wayside or succumbed to bankruptcy.

many faithful and repeat customers.

We are proud to be a family-owned company, carrying on the legacy and vision of Isidor Perse. Sons Ben Perse, Harry Perse and Ben's son Larry Perse continued the exemplary service. Ben Perse recently celebrated his 100th birthday and is no longer active in the day-to-day running of the company, leaving the mantle resting squarely on the shoulders of Larry Perse and Mark Kramer.

In keeping with our motto, Capitol will continue to serve its faithful patrons in the manner to which they have been accustomed.
